Jackson, Mississippi

Hey everyone! Chris and I are having a wonderful time in Jackson, Mississippi. Chris has been assigned to work here with other people from his company for three weeks. I will be out here with him for the first two weeks. After that I need to go home because I start teacher inservice on the 3rd of August. We are staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott. It's not really like a hotel. It's more like a condominium. This first picture, is what you see right when you walk in the fron door. On the first floor we have a living room, a dining room, pull down bed (from the wall) and full bathroom and closet, a desk, and a complete kitchen. The living room couch also fold out into a bed, which sleeps 2 more people. So, you could comfortably sleep 6 people in this place. The kitchen comes with a stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and pots and pans.
We went to the grocery store and I've been fixing dinner every night. They serve a wonderful, complimentary breakfast with almost anything you could ask for - fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, doughnuts, waffles, a variety of cereal, eggs, grits, oatmeal, sausage, biscuits, bagels, toast, milk, juices. You name it they've got it. They also have what they call hospitality hours from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday - Thursday. During that time they serve dinner and drinks. Last night was deli night, which included two kinds of meat, white and wheat bread, lettuce and tomatoe, cookies, and drinks for free. Room service is everyday. There is a large YMCA facility just down the road, and we get complimentary passess to it while we stay here. I've been going every morning when Chris goes to work. There is also a pool and two hot tubs. I've been going to the pool everyday. The weather has been very warm here. Almost everyday since we've been here it has gotten to 100 degrees. It's really been a wonderful place. Most everyone that is working with Chris will be flying home for the weekend and then flying back out on Sunday. The company paid for me to fly out because it would cost the same amount if Chris fly home during the weekends. So we are staying here this weekend. We plan to do some sightseeing, so I'll post some more pictures after the weekend.
