Thanks A Bunch Brunch

We just had our Thanksgiving Party/Program on Wednesday. (I'm so glad it's over) We really had a great time, but things are starting to get hectic, so that's why I'm glad it's over. We have two days of school this week before Thanksgiving Break.

Anyway, back to the Thanks a Bunch Brunch. All the parents were invited. Before we ate the kids put on a little program that we had practice in the room. They had written an acrostic poem with the word thankful. I told them to think of something they were thankful for that started with each letter in the word thankful. This is what they came up with, so we shared that first. It was really cute!

T is for Turkey to eat
H is for Hats to keep us warm
A is for Apples for Apple Pie
N is for our Nation
K is for Kindness
F is for smiling Faces
U is for our Universe
L is for our Life in Jesus Christ

Then they say, "If Your Thankful and You Know It...", "Who's the King of the Jungle", and lastly "Mr. Turkey" sung to the tune Frere Jacque and it goes like this:

Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey
Run away, run away
If you are not careful
You will be a mouthful
Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Day

After that, they made a craft, then we ate and then they played musical chairs several times, which they thoroughly enjoyed! Now it's time to start planning the Christmas Party!!!!
