HEY!

Look at my blog at: http://abattleofthebulge.blogspot.com/ and see what I did Saturday ;~)

Thomas surgery

(little - he ain't so "little" any more - 6') Thomas had oral surgery on Thursday. He had all 4 wisdom teeth (which were impacted) removed and they also performed on him the same procedure they did on Sarah a couple of months ago where they go up into the gum and hook a chain onto a tooth that refuses to come in ;~(

He's doing well, although the first day was a bit harry. He didn't act like himself at all under the influence of the anesthesia and pain medicine. He hasn't had any pain medicine since Friday morning about 1:00 a.m. Hopefully his recovery with continue without incident and there will be no infection! The biggest problem so far has been getting that gauze to let go of his braces -- that's a real pain!

Thomas is better today. Sunday and Monday he was miserable!

Well I am back from Puerto Rico.

I left for Carolina, Puerto Rico, a town outside San Juan, on the 16th and returned home on the 23rd. A team of men from our church went down there to work on a Christian school. We did HVAC, electric, plumbing, and put in ceiling grid for a suspended ceiling. We worked long and hard but we had fun because we did it for the Lord. But it is good to be back home since there is no place like home. Love you all. Tom

where's philip???

Well, I think the only reason he came home is because he didn't want to do his laundry. I must have washed about 9 loads of cloths Saturday and sent a load to the cleaners to be drycleaned and starched - probably a dozen shirts!

We took him back today and got to see Rachel (and Chris) too. Leaving them up there hasn't gotten any easier over the course of 3 years - you'd think it would but it doesn't. I am TOTALLY, emotionally drained, rung out like a limp, wet wash rag tonight. I dream about the long lost days of East Point in that turn-of-the-century house with no airconditioning when they were all small. I miss those days and my little ones so much ;~(

cherish the time you have with your little ones!
