Thanksgiving
Just though I would say how good it was to see everyone. The food was great but the fellowship was the best. Happy Thanksgiving every one. Thanks to Wally and Judy for having us all over.
We are looking forward to seeing you all for Christmas at our house.

I think we should ALL sing that at Aunt Judy's
"Mr. Turkey" sung to the tune Frere Jacque:
Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey
Run away, run away
If you are not careful
You will be a mouthful
Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Day.
I think though, by that time, it will have been too late for "Mr. Turkey"!
Thanks A Bunch Brunch
We just had our Thanksgiving Party/Program on Wednesday. (I'm so glad it's over) We really had a great time, but things are starting to get hectic, so that's why I'm glad it's over. We have two days of school this week before Thanksgiving Break.Anyway, back to the Thanks a Bunch Brunch. All the parents were invited. Before we ate the kids put on a little program that we had practice in the room. They had written an acrostic poem with the word thankful. I told them to think of something they were thankful for that started with each letter in the word thankful. This is what they came up with, so we shared that first. It was really cute!
T is for Turkey to eat
H is for Hats to keep us warm
A is for Apples for Apple Pie
N is for our Nation
K is for Kindness
F is for smiling Faces
U is for our Universe
L is for our Life in Jesus Christ
Then they say, "If Your Thankful and You Know It...", "Who's the King of the Jungle", and lastly "Mr. Turkey" sung to the tune Frere Jacque and it goes like this:
Mr. Turkey, Mr. Turkey
Run away, run away
If you are not careful
You will be a mouthful
Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Day
After that, they made a craft, then we ate and then they played musical chairs several times, which they thoroughly enjoyed! Now it's time to start planning the Christmas Party!!!!
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Chris took me out to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse last weekend! :) It was a lot of fun. We were celebrating because of a bonus he received for working so many hours while he was in Jackson, Mississippi for five weeks this summer. I've been to the steakhouse once before. It tastes so good. The buttery delicious steak just melts in your mouth! Then I had a side of sweet potatoe cassarole! (One of my favorites) The only mistake I made was that I accidently ordered a bottle of Fiji Water, which cost $5. I didn't mean to - I really just wanted tap water. I was just in the gas station yesterday, and I saw the same size bottle of Fiji water for $1.99! Anuway, If you ever have the money and a good excuse for going out somewhere nice, I would suggest Ruth's Chris! :)

Field Trip to Cagle's Dairy
Today we took our 1st field trip!!! We went to Cagle's Dairy near Canton, Georgia. We really had a lot of fun! (As you can see by the pictures) We took the Fall Harvest tour, which included a hay ride. The kids got to get up close and personal with cows, watch a pig race, pick cotton and a baby pumpkin. Then we had a picninc lunch and visited the general store. I bought some local honey for mom. They have lots of other things to do there. Check it out at www.caglesdairy.com
